Happy Birthday my dear sweet three year old, I cant even explain how much joy this little guy brings to my life. I love that he is my baby, that he will hug, kiss, cuddle or come sit on my lap when ever I ask him to and sometimes I dont even have to ask he just does it on his own. I love that he still eats anything and everything, however he is the slowest eater in the family. He is quite the determined, stubborn and very smart boy. Of course I have to mention he has the best red curly hair ever! Happy 3rd Birthday Bobby thank you so much for coming to us 3 short years ago and thank you for giving me a gift for your birthday. The gift of being Potty trained I am so happy that I dont ever have to buy diapers, wipes or change a diaper ever again!!!

This weekend was spent celebrating Bobby's Birthday. We celebrated early because Jon has to work his actual birthday weekend. Friday was spent with Ella & Bobby's friends coming over to our house for a play date. It was nice having an excuse to clean the house really good before they came over & then again after. Then on Saturday I gave Jon part of his early 30th birthday gift. A 6 hour photography seminar at the U of C. He loved it, I'm a little worried that he is going to spend even more time taking pictures. Oh well I can think of a lot worse hobbies out there! This weekend finally warmed up so lucky Bobby was able to go to the park for a balloon photo shoot:

Yes, its true it finally getting cold out -30 to be exact. I know we shouldn't complain because mother nature has been so kind to us the last couple months. Here's looking forward to snow man making and tobogganing when it warms up a little. I'm back to sleeping with 5 blankets and I am loving my new Sorrel boots (I wont be slipping on any ice this year)!

This month is full of play dates, birthdays, school and swimming registration I am exhausted just thinking about everything.

Bobby went to Church with my Dad on Sunday. My Mom was sick so we didnt get to celebrate her birthday this weekend. She did get to open her gifts from us Toms and Yoga pants from my brothers and I and some cute pictures and frames of the kids from Ella and Bobby. She wasnt too sick, she was still able to enjoy her oreo cheesecake I made her!

Cold weather means major craft time. Ella loves to cut her favorite things to cut are random boxes/paper from our recycling. While Bobby was with my dad Ella and I wrapped some of Bobby's birthday presents. She wrapped one presents all by herself and hid it under her bed for Bobby. She told me she wouldnt tell Bobby what it is she would just give him a clue. When Bobby got home Ella said "Bobby I wrapped your birthday gift, I will give you a clue its an Apple" I thought I was going to die it was so hilarious Bobby was so happy that she was giving him an apple. The gift she wrapped is a Sponge Bob shirt I have no idea where the apple came from?!?

Bobby turns 3 on Jan 31st. I keep asking him when his Birthday is and he yells "January Thirsty", so funny I love it!!!!

Have I mentioned lately that I love how well my kids go to bed, 7pm on the dot every night. Now I am off to watch some Gossip Girl then The Bachelor and eat a bowl full of mini eggs!!!

This year New Years Eve was pretty much the same as last but better. Chinese food and coke Slurpees for dinner, Angel food with Berries and whipping cream for dessert, lots of kids games played, dance party with sparklers, noise makers and "Happy New Years" crowns, kids asleep in bed by 9:00pm and then Jon and I watched the Fast Five it was actually a pretty good movie and we even managed to stay up until 1am. The only thing that would of made the night better was if we weren't all sick with colds. Oh well it could of been worse, at least we weren't sick for Christmas!

I had a wonderful 10 days off of work, Jonathan only had 4 days off. We still managed to do a ton and we definitely watched our share of movies the total count is 8 (I think) thanks to cheap red box rentals. I also was lucky enough to sleep in almost every day until 9-10am. I love that our kids will just eat dry cereal and fruit and watch Netflix until we wake up!

It was definitely brutal going back to work this week waking up @ 6am and being sick at least it was just for 3 days.

Ella has this week off of school, its been nice except she asks to go to school every day. She also started up swimming lessons again Wednesday night. I cant believe in a couple weeks we register her for Kindergarten. We still havent decided which school she will be going to, let the stressing begin. Bobby is as cute as always, except he is going through this annoying "Baby Voice" stage. We have started talking about his 3rd Birthday Party which will be at the end of the month. I cant believe we will have a 3 year old. We are also registering him for preschool this month, CRAZY!

In the afternoon we headed to the Royal Oak Chapel for an Ogden Christmas day party & turkey/ham dinner.

After dessert David & his girlfriend Lynsey gave Ella & Bobby one last present. It was a bunch of Epicure kids kitchen stuff. The kids loved all of it especially the adorable matching Aprons!

Over all it was the perfect Christmas the kids are at such a fun age, true believers of Santa. I hope we still have lots more of these Christmas's left! The kids played so well with all of their second cousins.This was the 1st year we didnt have to worry about them getting in to trouble or trying to escape the building. I hope everyone else had an amazing Christmas 2011!!!

We were all spoiled, Thank you everyone for the gifts some of our favorites: Money, Calaway park season passes, Johnny's 3 pairs of jeans, my curling wand (thanks Rylan) which goes perfect with my Morrocan oil and Josh's girlfriend (Rylan) crochet the kids each a really cute scarf.

After brunch we came home to play with toys, have naps & get ready for another party!

Christmas Eve the kids & I went to my parents around 4pm (Jon had to work until 5:30). We had a nice visit with my parents & then my grandparents & Uncle stopped by for a quick visit. Then we had appetizers for dinner. The food was amazing even though we had way too much! Jon picked the kids up to take them to his brothers to open gifts. I spent the rest of the night playing games with my parents, brother Josh & his puppy. Unfortunatley even though I brought the camera I dint take any pictures!

Before bed we set out cookies & milk for Santa & carrots & water for Rudolph.

The kids slept in until 7:30am. When Ella was walking down the stairs with Jon (I was already down stairs with Bobby) she said "Daddy, do you think Santa came?". When she got downstairs she said "Yes, Santa came". It was priceless she was ecstatic that Santa had come. Santa even left some "proof" that he was here. He left his glove by the cookie plate Rudolph left his bell & Santa ripped his coat on our tree.

After Bobby opened every gift he would yell "thank you Santa" then go & pose so Jon could take a picture!

Ella finished opening her gifts way before Bobby did, then she said "Bobby I will help you open your presents".

At the beginning of December we took the kids to see Santa:

Friday Dec 23 we met my parents at Heritage park to see the live Nativity Pageant. It was the 1st time taking the kids, we used to go all the time when my dad was a wise man. I think this will be a new Christmas tradition for our family the kids loved it!

Ella said a few cute things: "Are the angels flying?" & "how come I cant see baby Jesus's face?" Bobby sat on my Dad's lap the whole time & he kept yelling "we have this dong (song) at home" every time he heard a song that he knew. The kids loved all of the live animals too!

That night we let the kids wear their Christmas Jammies

And we let the kids sleep under the tree it only lasted until 11:30 pm. They kept talking & playing so up to their rooms they went. Maybe next year when the are older they will last the whole night under the tree.

Today is our 8th wedding Anniversary, I cant believe how fast time flies. We are just getting ready to take the kids to my parents for a sleepover. Then we are going to Joey Tomatoes (my fav) for dinner, shopping at Cross Iron Mills & then a movie!

It was a fun morning the kids sang songs to us for about 15 minutes. Ella had a little solo part she got to announce the next song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Sunday afternoon during the crazy Gale forced winds we set up our Christmas tree. Ella has been asking me for weeks. I finally gave in, secretively I was dying to put it up too!

Ella was so proud that she got to put the star on top!

We decided to put the cheap plastic not nice ornaments on the tree again this year. Its a good thing we did the kids cant stop playing with the balls & re decorating the tree! Next year we will be able to decorate with our awesome assortment of glass ornaments that we have been collecting for 10 years!

Every morning & night the kids watch TV lying under the tree with their blankets & pillows it is pretty sweet! I feel like the kids have been fighting less lately & I am loving it. Maybe it has to do with that fact I keep telling them Santa is watching so they better behave!

This weekend is filled with 3 days of Christmas Party's, I'm so excited. Friday night is my annual girls party we are going out for dinner at the Laurier Lounge. Saturday is my work Christmas party at The Parker House Grill. The kids are sleeping over at my parents & going to their ward Christmas party. Ella is a sheep in the Nativity, I hope my parents take lots of pics. Then Sunday is Jonathan's work Kids Christmas party. So excited for this weekend & even more excited for Christmas in 24 days!!!!

Ella wanted me to take a picture of her & her artwork. Now that the weather is cooler we will be doing alot more crafts around here.

Have I mentioned lately how awesome my parents are? They are seriously the best! Last weekend they picked Ella up Friday night for a sleepover she stayed with them all day Saturday. Saturday night they brought her home & took Bobby for a sleepover & he spent all day Sunday with them & then we all went to my parents for Sunday night dinner. It was so nice to have one on one time with each of my kids while the other one was being spoiled with love & attention by my parents! My Mom works about 70 hours a week & still makes time for her 2 grandkids pretty much every weekend & then every single Sunday she invites my whole family over often my grandparents come too, for Sunday night dinner.

Today my parents took Ella & Bobby to the Muppet Movie. The kids loved it & they love spending time with their grandparents! Bobby asks just about everyday if he gets to see Papa today & Ella loves talking on the phone to Nana as often as possible.

I love having my parents so close that the kids can go for sleepovers and I love that my parents love our children and want to do fun things with them. I am so grateful for my parents and I dont know what I would do with out them!

Poor Bobby is sick with Croup Jonathan had to take him to the hospital Tuesday night. Last night he just coughed a little hopefully tonight he will cough even less. Well not 100% finished but at least we can park in it!!! Isnt it beautiful, I love it even though there are at least 100 things wrong with it. Thank you to my brothers especially Josh & Jons brother for helping him a little. Johnny did most of the work all by himself! Thanks Ella & Bobby for not destroying the house while Jon spent hours on the garage when I was at work. And of course thank you Mom & Dad for watching our kids on the weekends so I could help Jon which only happened a couple times because for some reason Jon thought I wasnt much help? What can I say he is stubborn & although so many friends, neighbors & family offered to help only the few chosen ones were actually aloud to help. Maybe thats why it took 3 months, oh well I'm really not complaining because it is finished before the snow comes! Now Bring on the snow!

This week has been filled with sick coughing kids, potty training, sooo much laundry, staying close to home, dentist appointments (perfect checkups) & great weather!

Got to love "Movember", apparently my husband is fine with me not kissing him all month. I'm just so glad all of our Christmas party's are in December this year!

In the afternoon Johnny took the kids to the mall for some trick or treating. I met up with them when I was finished work. Then we had the kids favorite Edo for dinner.

The kids were so excited & must of asked a hundred times if it was time to go trick or treating?

Uncle Josh & Rylan came over and gave the kids some fun Halloween toys & treats!

Finally it got dark Jon & the kids headed out trick or treating. It was pretty cold so Ella had to wear a jacket & cover up her costume. At this point Bobby wasnt very happy & he didnt even want to go trick or treating. Being the nice parents we are we made him go. He lasted an hour Ella & Johnny lasted an hour & a half before they froze. Ella actually would of gone longer but her Daddy was too cold!

We have had a not so great week. It started with Ella getting the flu last weekend. It was so sad she was so sick. I'm just glad that this was the 1st time in her life with the flu, it only lasted 48 hours & no one else in the family got sick. It took well over an hour scrubbing her popcorn with real butter & red smarties vomit off the carpet & the whole bathroom was covered. Worse combination to have to clean up ever. Then Tuesday night I was on my way to the basement to work out & I slipped & fell down 5 stairs. Luckily I didnt break anything but I am covered in bruises, stiff & sore. I'm pretty sure I had a good enough excuse to not work out that night or the next couple nights after! The last bad thing to happen this week was yesterday Jon rear ended someone during construction on the Deerfoot. I'm so glad no one got hurt but his poor car sure did. I'm also glad the kids & I were not with him!

Friday at School Ella was the star student she had a great day at school. She got to bring her favorite toy & book to school & be the special helper. Unfortunately the minute I picked her up she turned into a grumpy pants. I really wanted a cute pictures of the kids but this is all Ella could give me!

On Saturday we went to Calaway park for the last time this year. It was lots of fun I thought it would be way more busy we didnt have to wait in any line ups. We only lasted a couple hours it was really cold.

Last weekend Jon & I spent 3 glorious days in Kalispell!

Jon has always wanted his picture taken with Smokey The Bear!

Friday when we arrived we shopped, ate dinner & shopped some more!

Saturday we slept in, shopped, ate lunch, shopped, went for a nice walk in 28 degree weather, shopped, ate dinner, went and saw the movie Drive and then we went swimming at our hotel.

Sunday afternoon before we came home we went to a park & fed tons of ducks cracked corn, which they sell at a gas station.

It was really fun & Jon got some awesome duck pics

We then shopped a little more picked up 24 packages of cream cheese (you cant beat $1.25 each), ate lunch & drove home.
Just before the boarder we were lucky enough to drive through this. A cow seriously almost ran into our car thank goodness it didnt that would of ruined our perfect trip!

Highlights of the trip buying 3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of sandals and 2 pairs of boots for myself, buying 5 dresses, buying clothes that are size XS I cant remember the last time I wore an XS, buying lots of pants & shoes for Bobby hopefully he stops growing for a few months, sleeping in, eating where and when I want to eat, quality time with my husband & finishing my Christmas Shopping!!!!!!!!!!

My Birthday weekend was awesome (post to come). My actual birthday was kinda blah nothing like working 8 hours coming home just so my husband can go to work for 6 hours. The highlight was coming home to Johnny & the kids with 9 yellow balloons! Jon said we had to run to the park for a 2 minute photo shoot before he left for work! More highlights of the day were the phone calls & facebook messages, Subway for dinner, not working out & not feeling guilty about it, the nice weather and E & B going to bed at 7pm. The day could of been better if it wasnt a Monday & if I wasnt SICK. I have pretty much been sick with a cold & sore throat all of September. I hope October wont be the same and NO people its not allergy's I know the difference! I still have a few more fun birthday dinners & get togethers this week & Jon has promised me a cake decorated like a pumpkin!

My Birthday is officially on Monday but since Jon & I will be away all weekend we decided to celebrate with my fam last weekend.

It was a great party awesome weather, great food, angel food & brownies my fav for dessert, great presents including money to spent in the states this weekend. Thanks Mom for making me feel so great, even though turning 29 sucks. I feel like I should just round it up to 30!

The highlight of my birthday is spending the next 3 days & 2 nights without the kids. Nothing like a weekend away with my husband, shopping, movie watching, swimming & more shopping to make a girl feel better about turning old!

I have wanted to take a family picture all summer with us wearing our matching outfits. Finally last weekend we all got dressed & took some nice tri-pod pictures. It took all of 5 minutes, which is all we had before we had to leave for a party. Not the best location (our backyard) but we still got a few gooders!

Last Thursday Ella started swimming lessons. She loved it & cried when the class was over because she wanted to stay & swim. Being the good mom I am I forgot the camera. Oh well there is 6 more weeks to take pictures!

Bobby was having a rough time sleeping in his room last week he was convinced there was a "Boogey man" in his room. We have no idea where he learned that, but it was sad how scared he was of his room. He would fall asleep on the couch or in our bed & then we would move him to his room.
Friday night we went to "a trip around the world party" with my parents
We only lasted an hour it was so busy & the kids were tired & acting crazy. I guess thats what happens when they eat candy & popcorn with icing sugar (yum) for dinner.

All weekend the kids were obsessed with there club house/tent/forts

We also spent lots of time in the bounce house

That sums up are weekend pretty quiet & relaxed. The kids & I are finally over our colds it only took almost 2 weeks. I packed away all of our summer clothes & pulled out all of our fall & winter clothes. Bobby out grew all of his pants and most of his shoes are to small, time to go shopping!

Side note why are Boys so accident prone? Poor Bobby got his leg slammed in the door & he has been limping since Wednesday. He also fell into the corner of the computer desk today & has a huge chunk of skin missing above his eyebrow. We are taking him to the Doctor tomorrow hopefully his leg is fine & he wont need stitches.

It was so much fun being a bridesmaid with all my cousins. I'm so glad that everything tuned out perfect! It most likely will be the last time, I will ever be a bridemaid. I think being one 4 times is pretty cool! Congratulations Tera & Kent now hurry & have babies!!!

busy weekend fun

We had such a fun, crazy, busy weekend. I feel like I blinked & it was over & I maybe saw Ella, Bobby & Johnny for 5 minutes (Friday & Saturday). I am now paying for the best weekend by being sick with a horrible cold, which sucks but was totally worth it. Friday I dropped the kids off at noon for my Dad to watch. He took Ella & Bobby to Bowness park & Mcdonalds for happy meals thanks Dad! Then I went for a Mani/Pedi & hand/feet Paraffin wax treatments with Tera, Ashley, Angie & Jenny. It was so much fun we all got red matching nails with black, white & silver flower nail art. We then headed to Tera's to set up for her wedding which was the following day. It didnt even feel like work because we got to laugh & have fun the whole time. We spent all afternoon & night at her house until she kicked us out so she could go to bed! The next morning we all met at her house at 8am to get our hair done by her hairdresser. Then it was off to Confed for pictures it was so hot nothing like walking around in my 4 inch heels in 28 degree weather! Tera & Kents wedding was perfect their backyard wedding was gorgeous. Tera seriously thought of everything it was so fun spending 2 full days with my favorite girls & it was such an honour to be part of their wedding!

It was packed there were more people swimming at night then during the day.

Overall we had so much fun camping the weather was perfect, the camp ground was nice minus the wasp situation, the food was delicious, my kids were crazy at least I had 3 other people to help me with them. Thanks Mom & Dad for such great memories for our last camping trip of 2011!!!

Saturday we went for a hike into town. When we got back our campground spot was infested with wasps. It was brutal we had to eat every meal inside.
Poor Bobby got stung in his ear by a wasp. We all felt so bad for him, his ear was red & really swollen.

Monday August 29, 2011 was a beautiful 30 degrees day! By the middle of the week we had to turn on our furnace. I froze all day Wednesday at work, thanks to the 8 degrees outside & the blasting air conditioning inside. I am happy to report we had a gorgeous September long weekend camping (pictures to come of course). The furnace is off & it is supposed to be in the late 20's all week!!! I am so psyched for my 2 day work week & even more stoked that it will be a gorgeous Saturday for my cousins outdoor wedding!!!! So far this September is turning out AMAZING!!!

P.S have I mentioned lately how in love I am with these 2 beautiful children!!!!!

Ella had her 1st day of pre-kindergarten yesterday. Of course she loved it, she was actually mad to go home. She just wanted to stay & play all day! Not a huge change for any of us she goes to the same place as last year, same classroom, one of the same teachers & lots of her same friends are in her class. The biggest change is she now goes 3 days a week instead of 2. This year the kids are going to learn some Spanish which should be fun.

Unfortunately it poured all day so this is the best out side picture we could get!

Love how dark it is outside in the morning, love that Ella is running to the car in the pouring rain & love my fluorescent yellow shoes!

At Globalfest Johnny bought this adorable Elephant hat for Ella, she loves it!

Our 2 weeks with Jon have come to an end, talk about the fastest 16 days ever! Although most of his time has been spent building, we still ended up doing some fun things together as a family. This last weekend we celebrated our 11 year anniversary as a couple. We celebrated by going out for dinner then to the finale of globalfast & to end off the perfect night a lovely $40 parking ticket grrr! No pictures of us celebrating, but heres a ton our cute kiddos!

Funny story we drove out of Calgary to find a canola field. We finally found one walked about 5 minutes through weeds, high grass and tons of thistles. Jon starts taking pictures only to discover the memory card was at home. Grrrrr, so we had to go home to get it.

Oh well lesson learned....

We had a great Long weekend even though Daddy had to work every single day. We still managed to do lots with him before & after he worked. When he was at work we spent all of are time in our yard & in my parents yard! 90% of the last 4 days were spent outside, we are so lucky to be having such beautiful weather!!

Saturday night continued:

Ella was in love with this well she called it her "little house" she was so determined to sleep in it!
I was so tired I told Jon to just let her sleep outside for a bit, this is what he found! She wasnt really sleeping but we had to force her to come sleep in the motor home.

Most of the people left Saturday night we were one of the last to leave Sunday afternoon. On our way home we stopped in Lethbridge & spent the afternoon at Henderson pool swimming, sunning & eating a picnic of KFC! It was a great way to end an awesome family reunion!

The only down fall was that we all got blue paint all over us: hands, feet, toe nails, bathing suits. Bobby got it the worst luckily he wasnt wearing a new bathing suit grrr.

Ogden Reunion

We have been back for a week I guess its time to blog it....

We went down to Magrath for My Moms Dads Ogden family reunion. It was such a fun weekend! We stayed at my Mom's cousins place they have a huge house & yard. There were a bunch of Motor homes, trailers & tents in his yard!

Friday night:

This was Bobby's 1st time on a big trampoline he loved it & was fearless!

Saturday:

After a long, fun day with the perfect hot weather but not to hot because it was a little bit windy. We drove to Lethbridge to the Holiday Inn to go swimming. It was fun it was a small wave pool, 2 water slides, a little slide for kids and hot tub.

After swimming we had showers & drove back to Magrath for the firework show. We sat in the field at the High school & were so close to the fireworks it was really awesome. Ella said they were too loud. She wasnt a fan she wanted to leave but we all loved them Jonathan got some really cool pictures!

We are back from Magrath & Lethbridge. We had such a great weekend at my moms family reunion, pictures to come of course!

Heres a few pictures from the best concert ever!

We had such a blast at the concert:

Will Shuester from Glee did a great job opening he sang some Glee songs & a few of his own

I cant believe the guys (NKOTBSB) dont age they are so hot, still sing amazingly & are still such great dancers

we all had such a blast dancing for 3 hours

its crazy how we all remembered the lyrics to the songs

the highlight of the show was Donnie Wahlberg, we all love his show Blue Bloods too!

the day after the concert I uploaded a ton of NKOTBSB songs to my ipod I forgot how much I love their songs

we cant wait for them to come back!

Anyways moving along these were taken last week when Johnny taught the kids how to have a water balloon fight!!!

2 great things happened to me today therefore deserving 2 blog posts in 1 day!!!!

1st I found my water camera!!!! It was in the basement underneath all of our bags that we use when we travel. I am so happy! I searched all of those bags many times thinking maybe the camera was hiding in there. It must of fallen out underneath all the bags.

The 2nd great thing that happened was: The kids & I went to the McDonalds drive thru for lunch & when I got to the window to pay the cashier said the lady in front of us paid for our lunch! What? Who does that? I asked the cashier why? & she said she was just a really nice lady! Anyways that made my day its so nice to know there are still really generous good hearted people in the world!!!

Johnny took the kids to play in the shower they were there for about half an hour!

We spent a total of 20 hours outside Fri, Sat & Sun. We just cant get enough of this hot weather. The kids & I havent ever been so tanned. I have some burnt lips but we have been careful to apply lots of sunscreen!

I just want to end this post with a message for all parents to lock their upstairs windows. I know how hot it can get obviously heat rises but there is nothing wrong with having fans on in every room. My Cousins almost 2 year old little boy fell out of his sisters 2 story bedroom window this past week. It breaks my heart that this happened, this easily could of been one of my kids. We have now kept Ella's window locked at all times. Little Ronin is a miracle little boy he is home now being taken care of by his amazing parents. We love you Ronin you have been in our thoughts & prayers & will continue to be for along time!

Saturday night Jon had his 1st official photography gig. He had the privilege of taking pictures at my Bosses 25th Wedding Anniversary. We dropped the kids off at my parents who took them to their ward stampede BBQ/Party & then a sleepover.

I think we have the cutest little Cowgirl & Cowboy!!!

It was such a fluke that all 3 of us matched!

It was a fun night the party was at a Ukraine church. The food was great, of course they served cabbage rolls & perogies. There was a live band with lots of Polka music & Ukrainian dancers!
Not the best picture but its the only one my husbands in. I guess thats what happens when you are the photographer!

I'm so stoked for Wednesday night my girlfriends from High school & I are going to the NKOTB & BSB concert. It should be a great night and Mathew Morrison from Glee is the opening act! Afterwards we are going to walk around the stampede grounds for a few hours. The concert is at the Saddledome so we have free entry to the Stampede!
